Event entry terms

Entry and eligibility

Entering the POMONA 100 means accepting these event terms and the entry conditions shown at checkout. You must be at least 18 on 11 June 2027. Supply accurate participant and emergency contact details, and tell us if they change.

Your entry is personal. Do not give it away, sell it or let another person use your race number. If entering on another person’s behalf, ensure they have read and accepted the terms.

Preparation and responsibility

This is a demanding endurance event involving trails, hills, darkness and variable weather. Prepare for the distance and terrain, assess your fitness and seek medical advice if you have concerns. Do not start or continue if you are unwell or unable to participate safely.

Carry the mandatory kit, suitable clothing, navigation information, water and food reserves throughout the event. Check the final instructions for equipment requirements and registration arrangements.

On the course

Complete the route on foot, follow the designated course and instructions from the event team, and report to checkpoints. Keep your race number visible and your emergency details completed. Respect landowners, other trail users and road traffic, close gates as instructed and take litter with you.

Checkpoints are intended to provide indoor shelter, toilets, food and drink approximately every ten miles. Carry sufficient supplies between them and tell the team about relevant dietary or medical needs in advance. You remain responsible for checking that anything you consume is suitable for you.

You may rest in a stationary support vehicle, but travelling in it during your race is not permitted, except when directed by the Organiser for an emergency. Stay alert to traffic and instructions; headphones must not prevent you hearing warnings.

Withdrawal and safety decisions

If you withdraw, tell the event team promptly so they know you are safe. Follow medical advice and any instruction to stop. The Organiser may remove a participant for safety reasons or a serious breach of the rules. Finisher awards are for participants who complete the event within the applicable rules and time limit.

Withdrawals, refunds & deferrals

A 75% entry-fee refund is available for written withdrawal requests received by 7am GMT on 19 March 2027, 84 days before the event. Add-ons are non-refundable. After this deadline, voluntary withdrawal does not qualify for an entry-fee refund, subject to statutory rights.

One deferral to an available event of the same or shorter distance in the current or following year is permitted. Request it in writing by 7am GMT (8am BST) on 14 May 2027, 28 days before the event. Later requests are discretionary. Deferred entries cannot be refunded or deferred again.

Send requests to info@epona100.com, identifying your POMONA 100 booking.

Event changes and cancellation

Unsafe conditions or circumstances beyond the Organiser’s reasonable control may require route changes, postponement, cancellation or abandonment. We will notify entrants as soon as practicable. Rescheduling may be offered; travel and accommodation costs remain your responsibility, subject to statutory rights. Any refund or alternative will be assessed in accordance with applicable law.

Photography and liability

Event photographers may capture participants for race coverage and promotion. Contact us before the event if you have concerns about identifiable images, or afterwards about a particular image. Any use of personal information must comply with applicable data protection law.

You are responsible for your preparation, decisions on the course and personal belongings. Participation involves inherent risks, but acknowledging them does not waive your legal rights. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Questions and disputes

Write to info@epona100.com with “POMONA 100” in the subject. We aim to respond to written disputes within 28 days and, where appropriate, seek mediation through CEDR. This does not prevent you exercising legal rights or taking a dispute to court.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any mandatory rights you have as a consumer remain applicable. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
